Renishaw's new StreamHR™ Rapide was a hit at Pittcon

Attendees visiting Renishaw's booth during the Pittcon Conference & Expo, in Chicago, were shown the new StreamHR Rapide option for its inVia Raman microscope. This enables the rapid collection of large amounts of Raman data and the quick generation of high definition chemical images.

The Renishaw booth attracted international visitors from a diverse range of fields. They were impressed by the new functionality in Renishaw's WiRE 4 software, as well as the speed of acquisition shown with StreamHR Rapide.

Renishaw's team demonstrated the inVia's capabilities, including the generation of high definition chemical images. Tim Smith, Manager of the Raman applications group at Renishaw said: “This new capability perfectly complements the ability of inVia to collect valuable high definition chemical images. Now, data collection, processing, and analysis are incredibly fast. The entire experiment is fully optimised.”

Other popular topics for discussion included combined systems, in particular Raman AFM and TERS (tip-enhanced Raman scattering).
